LUMI-TEX® Pro Technology

With the new LUMI-TEX® Pro technology, you'll stay dry and visible. The jacket is fully reflective in the dark and reliably protects you from rain with a 10,000 mm water column.

Why Visibility Matters in Everyday Life

When wearing dark clothing, you’re often not visible until you’re 25 meters away. With this jacket, you’re visible as early as 140 meters away. This gives drivers significantly more time to react. After all, at 50 km/h, a car needs about 28 meters to come to a stop. Greater visibility means greater safety, no matter where you’re going.

Rain stays out. Heat can escape.

The waterproof outer shell protects against rain and wind. Back and side vents allow excess heat to escape, so you stay comfortably dry even on longer rides.

A scarf during the day. A signal in the spotlight.

Reflective yarn is woven throughout the entire knit. When light hits the scarf in the dark, the entire surface glows, allowing drivers to spot you much sooner. On the inside, soft fleece rests directly against your neck. It combines warmth and visibility in one, without looking like a safety vest.

A scarf for her and him.

The Reflective Scarf is intentionally unisex: one size fits all, a clean knit pattern, and four colors. Black and gray go with everything; white looks clean and modern; and orange makes a bold statement even during the day. This way, everyone can find a scarf that suits their own style without sacrificing visibility.

Your everyday companion for the outdoors.

Whether you're biking, taking a walk, or heading to the office: At about 160 cm long, you can drape this scarf loosely or wrap it snugly around your neck to keep out the cold without it feeling bulky. The simple design goes well with coats, jackets, and sweaters. It's the kind of scarf you grab in the morning without a second thought.

Visibility, knitted directly into the yarn.

No sewn-on reflective tape, no technical look: The reflective fibers are woven into the knit stitch by stitch. This keeps the scarf soft and flexible, while the entire surface reflects light. Up close, you can see the fine reflective yarn that makes all the difference in the dark.

Four colors. The same technology.

Whether it's black, gray, white, or orange: Every color features the same reflective yarn and the same soft fleece lining. The stitches are tight and neatly knitted, and the " Valkental" label is discreetly sewn in. Quality you can see and feel around your neck every morning.

Over 500,000 customers trust Valkental.

Valkental We develop reflective clothing and cycling accessories for people who are out and about every day. Customers rate us 4.6 out of 5 stars, and BILD named us the Top Outdoor Brand of 2026. And if the scarf isn't your style, you can easily send it back.

Subtle by day. Visible in the spotlight.

During the day, the Smart Jacket Pro looks like a modern gray jacket. When headlights shine on the LUMI-TEX® Pro material after dark, the outer surface reflects the light back. This allows you to combine an everyday look with significantly increased visibility without having to wear traditional high-visibility clothing.

Not just a promise. Proven through testing.

The gray Smart Jacket Pro is certified to EN 17353 Type B3 for increased visibility in medium-risk situations. Its reflective material and its placement thus meet defined testing requirements. This represents a demonstrable difference from ordinary casual clothing with individual reflective strips.

One jacket. Three ways to wear it.

Wear the waterproof outer jacket on its own, use the removable fleece separately, or combine the two to create a warm winter jacket. This way, the Smart Jacket Pro adapts to your daily life and the weather, instead of hanging unused in your closet for most of the year.

Why fully reflective?

Many women underestimate just how invisible they actually are in the dark. With a fully reflective jacket, you won’t just be more visible—you’ll be seen sooner. This gives drivers more time to react and keeps you safer with every step.

Fits 98% of all luggage racks

The proven three-point mounting system is extremely adaptable and fits 98% of conventional bike racks like a glove. You can quickly adjust it to your bike in one simple step—no tools required. With our “ QuickLock ” lock, the mounting hooks can be locked, protecting the TrailX from theft. The “ QuickLock ” lock can be purchased separately. For particularly wide tube diameters (>16 mm), we also offer wider mounting hooks separately, compatible with tube diameters up to 22 mm.

No More Stress Over Impractical Bags

For many people, everyday cycling is already stressful enough. Often, this isn’t due to the cycling itself, but to poor-quality bike bags that are not only a hassle to mount but also have to be carried around by a handle or strap when you’re off the bike—which is impractical. Insufficient storage space and the lack of a laptop compartment only make it even more inconvenient.
The TrailX puts an end to all that. While riding, it’s securely and comfortably attached to the bike—without putting any strain on your back. When you’re off the bike, nothing hangs awkwardly over your shoulder, and your hands are free.

Quality & Workmanship

Durable 840D nylon with a TPU coating. The material is neither sewn nor taped; instead, it is completely waterproofed using high-frequency welding. As a result, the material guarantees a water column of up to 100,000 mm and an IP rating of IPX6. Extensive quality controls ensure consistent standards.

Increased visibility with our fully reflective models

Our patented reflective material increases your visibility in the dark while still looking subtly stylish during the day. This is achieved through tiny glass beads that, together with the TPU coating, are applied to the nylon fabric in a thin film.

28L of storage space & a large laptop compartment

With no internal compartments, the TrailX offers plenty of space. Even large laptops up to 17 inches fit in the removable organizer.

What features should an everyday backpack have?

...we asked our customers. The clear answer: It has to be practical to use— intuitive to operate with useful organizational features.

What does "comfort" mean when it comes to a backpack?

According to our customers, this means that the backpack fits snugly without making you sweat. The straps shouldn't dig into your skin, and the weight should be distributed evenly.

Protection from darkness and rain

Our popular LUMI-TEX® Pro fabric makes you visible at night by reflecting light (such as from headlights). In addition, the fabric and seams are completely waterproof thanks to a TPU coating and high-frequency welding technology.

A gray coat by day. A signal in the spotlight.

During the day, you wear a simple, gray down coat that doesn’t look like a high-visibility vest. When headlights hit the LUMI-TEX® Pro fabric after dark, the entire outer surface lights up, from the collar to the hem. Drivers notice you much sooner, without you having to sacrifice a look that’s suitable for everyday wear.

Why Visibility Matters in Winter

Dark winter jackets almost completely disappear from drivers’ view at dusk. A fully reflective coat reflects headlight beams directly back, making you visible from a greater distance. This gives other road users more time to react—whether you’re riding a bike, walking the dog, or on your way to work.

Long cut. Yet still allows for freedom of movement.

The two-way zipper also opens from the bottom, so you can sit comfortably and ride your bike without the long cut feeling tight. You can tighten the hood with a drawstring, adjust the waist to your liking, and secure the cuffs with Velcro to keep the wind out. Four adjustment features for a coat that adapts to you.

Responsibly Warm

Our RDS-certified down filling keeps you reliably warm—while showing responsibility toward people, animals, and the environment.

What size fits you?

The coat is available in sizes XS through 4XL, which correspond to clothing sizes 34 through 52. Measure your bust and waist and compare the measurements to the size chart. The product length increases with size from 69 to 77 cm, and the sleeve length from 62 to 68.5 cm. If in doubt, choose the size that usually fits you.
